Honestly, the way it is implemented on the swami blog is pretty old school. What you want is “sharethis” it is a much better implementation of social bookmarks on posts. The link is below.

One that is free, you can download and one where it's just between you and the computer – and not God knows how many nerds who spend all day on these interactive social sites, sending silly smiley icons and fling insults at each other – who you've got know chance of beating because that's all they do all day long !
